ONE MORE ZAHA SPOTTING IN RIYADH

I discovered another work by Zaha near King Khalid International Airport on the outskirts of Riyadh. It is the King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Centre, a.k.a. KAPSARC, completed in 2017. My Uber driver was kind enough to try to drive me into the facility, but as I had expected, no one without a visitor pass is allowed to enter. At least I could view the crystalline form of the architecture under a perfect sky, along with a Saudia A330 in Saudi National Day special livery—so all good.

リヤドの街外れ、キング・ハーリド国際空港の近くにまた別のザハがあることを発見した。その建物はキング・アブドゥッラー石油調査研究センター、略称KAPSARC。Uberのドライバー氏は親切にも施設の中へ乗り入れてくれようとしたが、予想していた通り、ビジターパスがない者は立ち入り禁止だった。少なくとも、サウジナショナルデー塗装のサウディアA330もついた完璧な青空の下で、結晶のような構造を持つフォルムを眺めることができたので良しとする。
