EMIRATES A380 FIRST TO ICN: CHECK-IN

Past 10 PM at T3—the Emirates terminal—at Dubai International. This evening (actually, very early tomorrow morning), I’m flying to Incheon on an Emirates behemoth. Interestingly, the First Class check-in area looks pretty ordinary—nothing like Etihad’s at Abu Dhabi. These days, even Business Class check-in areas at some airports feel more glamorous. I’ve booked my favorite 1A—the same as on my last EK flight.

午後10時過ぎ。ドバイ・インターナショナルのエミレーツターミナル、T3。今夜（実際には明日の超早朝）はエミレーツのベヒーモスでインチョンへ飛ぶ。興味深いことに、アビダビにあるエティハドのものとは違い、ここのファーストクラスチェックインエリアはいたって平凡だった。最近は様々な空港のビジネスクラスチェックインでさえ、もうちょっとグラマラスになっているのだが。スイートは前回のエミレーツ便と同じく、お気に入りの1Aを予約しておいた。

The check-in area looked like it focused on efficiency, but once I walked through the terminal and arrived at the lounge, it was a completely different world—truly Emirates.

チェックインエリアは効率主義的だが、ターミナルの中を歩いてラウンジまで来るとそこは別世界。実にエミレーツな感じ。
