EASTBOUND TO CDG PART1

My Air France flight to CDG today will be flying eastbound from Narita—as if it were a flight to the U.S. This has become common practice for most flights to Europe and the U.K. from Tokyo since the closure of Russian airspace. Fortunately, I could get one of my favorite bulkhead seats, which offers more personal space and a much larger ottoman than a standard biz class seat—just like my last AF flight and the one before.

本日のCDG行きエアフラは、まるでUSへ飛ぶように東に向かって成田を発つ。ロシア空域が閉じられて以来、東京から欧州／英国方面へ向かうフライトはこの飛び方が日常的になっている。運がいいことに、前回と前々回のAF便に引き続いて、ほかのビジネスクラスシートよりもパーソナルスペースが広く、オットマンがはるかに大きなバルクヘッドシートのうちの一つを確保できた。

Our neighbor is a bird from the same company group—the 787-9 Morgenster bound for Schiphol.

お隣には同じエアライングループの一機、スキポール行きの787-9がいる。シップネームはMorgenster（モーニングスター）。
