TSUBASA WO KUDASAI HAS TAKEN OFF

Finally, the first printing of Maha Harada’s novel Tsubasa wo Kudasai ~ Freedom in the Sky has arrived from the printer. Team Nippon-Go, of which I am a member and have been assisting Harada-san in writing this novel, received our copies at Restaurant Alaska in The Mainichi Newspapers headquarters.

原田マハさんの小説「翼をください~Freedom in the sky」の初版がついに印刷所から到着。この物語の執筆を手伝ってきた「チーム・ニッポン号」のメンバーは、毎日新聞社本社にあるレストラン・アラスカで待望の一冊を受け取った。

I served as Creative Director for this hardcover edition and also wrote the promotional copy for the blue cover belt. The headline — “Don’t shut yourself in. Fly.” — reflects the mindset and spirit of adventurers in the era of Nippon-Go when the sky was still a wild frontier. It is also a message to today’s Japanese, who too often shy away from stepping beyond their comfort zones. The book will be released on my birthday, September 15th, and is now available for pre-order on Amazon and other online bookstores. Wishing every reader a wonderful flight.
