THE KOREAN A330 WITH THE APEX SUITE PART1

Flying back to Haneda on Korean’s A330-300. This is my first time experiencing their Collins Apex Suite seat—KE calls it the Prestige Suites. When I saw this seat in photos, I found it looked like a coffin—or, in a Japanese expression, a bed for an eel—and felt tight, while it is of course much better than the recliner with the 2-2-2 configuration, which is still widely used for intra-Asia regional flights. JAL and Oman are using the same seat. Now let’s see how it actually feels.

今日羽田へ連れて帰ってくれるのはコリアンのA330-300。今回このフライトで、コリアンがプレステージスイーツと呼んでいるコリンズのエイペックス・スイートを初めて体験する。最初写真でチェックしたときは棺桶、もしくは日本式に言えばうなぎの寝床のようで、かなり窮屈そうに見えた。もちろん、アジア圏内の短距離便でいまだに多く使われている2-2-2レイアウトのリクライナーよりはずっとましではあるのだが。エイペックス・スイートはJALやオマーンも採用している。さて、実際はどんな感じだろうか。
