HAMAD LOUNGE HOPPING: TO THE GARDEN

Four hours at Hamad International. First, I head to the Al Mourjan Business Lounge—The Garden, the newer of Qatar Airways’ two Al Mourjan Business Lounges, at the North Node of the terminal on the indoor people mover. The train running inside the terminal reminds me of the Delta Train at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport.

ハマド国際空港で4時間。まずは2つあるカタール航空のアル・ムルジャン ビジネスラウンジのうちの新しいほう、ターミナルのノースノードに作られたアル・ムルジャン ビジネスラウンジ—ザ・ガーデンに屋内ピープルムーバーで向かう。ターミナルの屋根の下を走っている電車を見ると、デトロイト・メトロポリタン・ウェイン・カウンティ空港のデルタトレインを思い出す。

The Garden lounge, overlooking the ORCHARD—an indoor tropical garden and the core of the North Node—features an impressive use of water, like the original Al Mourjan Business Lounge in the South Node. It’s a big lounge (still not as big as the Emirates First Class Lounge at DXB), so if you take a seat at the west end of the lounge, walking to the men’s bathroom feels like a leisurely stroll.

ノースノードのコアにあたる屋内トロピカルガーデン、ザ・オーチャードを見下ろすザ・ガーデンラウンジは、サウスノードのオリジナル・アル・ムルジャン ビジネスラウンジ同様に水を印象的に使っている。このラウンジは巨大なので（といっても、DXBのエミレーツファーストラウンジほどではないが）、西側の奥のほうに席をとると、男性用洗面所へ行くとき、まるで散歩に出かけるような感じになる。
