CHECKING OUT THE JOHN LENNON

Changing from a Merseyrail train to a blue double-decker operated by Arriva UK Bus at Liverpool South Parkway Station, I went to see an international airport with quite a fascinating name—EGGP, Liverpool John Lennon Airport.

リバプール・サウスパークウェイ駅でマージーレールの電車からアリバUKバスが運行する青いダブルデッカーに乗り換えて、とても魅力的な名前を持った国際空港を見学に行く。その空港とはEGGP。つまりリバプール・ジョン・レノン空港。

The airport is mainly served by LCCs, and it feels almost like Don Mueang Airport. The lyrics of John Lennon’s songs on the terminal wall are a nice touch.

この空港を使っているエアラインのほとんどがLCCで、まるでドンムアンのようだった。ターミナルの壁にジョン・レノンの曲の歌詞が入っているのが素敵。
