AT-TURAIF AND AN ICED COFFEE

Today, I came to the At-Turaif District, on the outskirts of Riyadh, to see a non-futuristic, non-sci-fi Saudi. It is said that this area was the early capital of the country and the original home of the House of Saud. The repetition of the triangle-shaped holes on the desert-beige adobe walls is quite impressive.

今日は非未来的＆非Sci-fi的サウジを味わいに来た。リヤドの郊外にあるアット・トゥライフ地区は初期サウジアラビアの首都で、この国の王家として知られるサウード家の本拠地だったらしい。砂漠色のアドビ壁に開けられた三角穴の繰り返しがとても印象的だった。

The historic area is connected to the newly developed Bujairi Terrace dining and shopping complex, where I can quickly go through the history of Saudi Arabia on my iPhone while having a glass of cold coffee.
