This isn’t Kyoto—it’s Portland, Oregon. I visited the most authentic Japanese garden I’ve ever seen outside Japan.

ここは京都ではない。ここはオレゴン州ポートランド。これまで僕が日本の外で見たものの中で、最も気合いが入っている日本庭園。

The post says “3 ri (about 7.3 miles) to Kyoto,” but I’m pretty sure you’d need a Delta flight to get there.

「京へ三里（約12キロ）」と書いてはあるものの、京都にたどり着くにはデルタの便に乗る必要がある。
