THE NIPPON-GO EXHIBITION PART1

On October 20, 1939, the Japanese aircraft Nippon-Go landed safely at Tokyo Airfield—now Haneda Tokyo International Airport—completing its round-the-world flight. To commemorate the 70th anniversary of this achievement, The Mainichi Newspapers, which organized the flight, held a special exhibition at its art gallery.

1939年の10月20日、日本の航空機「ニッポン号」が世界一周のフライトを終え、無事に東京飛行場（現在の羽田東京国際空港）に着陸した。偉業の70周年を祝い、70年前に世界一周飛行の主催者だった毎日新聞社が、社内のアートギャラリーで特別な展覧会を開催。

Nippon-Go memorabilia is on display. One poster shows a flag no longer appropriate today—but that, too, is part of history.

「ニッポン号」の記念品の数々。ポスターの一枚には不適切な国旗が描かれているが、これも歴史。

They are also selling signed copies of Maha Harada's novel Tsubasa wo kudasai~Freedom in the Sky, which features Nippon-Go in the story.

会場では「ニッポン号」が登場する原田マハさんの小説「翼をください~Freedom in the sky」のサイン本も販売中。

These are the reference materials Harada-san used for her writing. Among them is the document “How to Fly the Nippon-Go,” which I wrote for her.

原田さんが執筆に使った資料＆史料。僕が原田さんのために書いたドキュメント、「ニッポン号の飛ばし方」も並べられていた。
