THE MAUSOLEUM

This is my second time coming here. As an Eastern Bloc enthusiast, I can’t help visiting the mausoleum, one of the most Soviet places in the city, whenever I’m in Hanoi. It is said that the Chairman’s final resting place was inspired by the one on Red Square.

ここへ来るのは2度目。イースタンブロックマニアとして、ハノイに来たら、街で最もソビエトな場所の一つであるこの廟を訪れないわけにはいかない。赤の広場に作られたものからインスパイアされたといわれる建造物の中で、党／国家主席が永遠の眠りについている。
