LUNCHTIME IN DOWNTOWN WAKAYAMA

After leaving Nankai’s Wakayamashi Station, I came to the JR station area to explore downtown Wakayama. Like many mid-sized provincial cities in Japan, the shopping streets near the station feel deserted. However, the sushi you can have there is simply fabulous.

南海の和歌山市駅からJRの駅へ移動して、和歌山の中心市街地を探索する。日本の中規模地方都市によくある光景だが、駅近くの商店街は閑散としていた。とはいえ、そこで食べることができる寿司は実に素晴らしい。
