BLACKPOOL TOWER

Climbed up the icon of Blackpool, built in 1894. I don’t know why, but this tower reminds me of Beppu Tower in Kyushu, Japan. Maybe because both stand next to the beach, and both feel like monuments of good old tourism.

1894年に完成したブラックプールのアイコンに昇る。このタワーはなんとなく日本の九州にある別府タワーを思い出させる。どちらもビーチの横に立ち、どちらも古き良き観光を今に伝える遺跡のように見えるからだろうか。
