While driving along the main road across Gwynedd, Wales, I happened to spot a narrow road leading to a village below. So I decided to take it, hoping I might find a nice place for lunch somewhere ahead. The village is called Corris, and I discovered that it has a narrow-gauge heritage railway. I then found a cozy cafe that was also a general store and a community gathering place, and had a tasty panini there. It turned out to be a perfect unplanned stop.
