Enjoying a three-minute rail trip inside the town of Malvern on a Great Western Railway train.

The train terminates at the next stop, Great Malvern Station. I like the contrast between the sleek Class 802 bi-mode high-speed train built by Hitachi and a classic station from the Victorian steam loco era. The bi-mode train is able to run on both electrified and non-electrified sections, swiftly connecting a countryside station directly to a terminal in London.

次の停車駅で終着駅のグレートマルバーンに到着。日立製のスタイリッシュな802形バイモード高速列車と、ヴィクトリア期の蒸気機関車時代に作られた駅とのコントラストが素晴らしい。バイモード車両は電化区間も非電化区間も走れるので、カントリーサイドの駅とロンドンのターミナルを直接すばやくつなぐことができる。
