A DAY TRIP AROUND THE PEARL RIVER DELTA

Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau–Hong Kong. I took a triangular day trip around the Pearl River Delta—one of the world’s fastest-emerging regions. In the first-class cabin on the upper deck of an Australian-built Chinese speedboat, they served mineral water, Chinese nuts, and cookies made in Hong Kong.

On the other hand, the Hong Kong–based Turbo JET boat offers an “In-Vessel Meal”—which looks just like an in-flight meal —along with free drinks in the first-class cabin. Even the emergency card resembles the one you’d find on a plane.

一方、ホンコンベースのスピードボート「ターボジェット」のファーストでは、機内食に似た「船内食」と無料のドリンクがサーブされる。エマージェンシーカードも航空機のそれに似たもの。

This is something planes don't have. A strange decoration in the F-Class lavatory.
