HANAMURASAKI

I chose this sophisticated onsen ryokan (Japanese-style hot spring inn) from several options in the Yamanaka Onsen area, which has more than 1300 years of history as a spa destination. 

1300年以上の歴史を持つ山中温泉。いくつかある選択肢の中で、この上品な旅館「花紫」を選んだ。

The room has an internal stone garden. Two advantages of the ryokan are the Hyatt-esque dining room and the "check-in and -out at noon" system. I don't know how they operate the rooms, but it definitely means more freedom for the guests. 

部屋の中に石庭。この旅館の2つの長所はハイアットっぽいダイニングレストランと12時チェックイン＆チェックアウトのシステム。部屋をどうコントロールしているのかわからないが、客にとって自由度が高いのが良い。

Snowy mountains. A rooftop hot tub. And a feast of local seafood.

雪を被った山々。屋上の露天風呂。地元の海の幸を楽しむ晩餐。
