HOW A NON-MUSLIM WALKED AROUND MEDINA PART2

In the heart of Medina, the Prophet’s Mosque is surrounded by modern buildings that stand almost like city walls. Among them are several international-brand hotels such as Crowne Plaza, InterContinental, Sofitel, and Pullman. Every hotel lobby was packed with pilgrims, and I had to walk quite a bit before finally finding a table for tea in one of them.

メディナの真ん中では、モダンなビルの群れが預言者のモスクをまるで城壁のように囲んでいる。その中にはクラウンプラザ、インターコンチ、ソフィテル、プルマンといったインターナショナルブランドのホテルもあった。どのホテルのロビーも巡礼者であふれかえっていて、お茶を一杯飲むためのテーブルを見つけるまで、かなりの距離を歩かなければならなかった。
