CHOSHI ELECTRIC RAILWAY PART1

Arrived at Choshi Station.

銚子駅に到着。

Then, changed trains to the Choshi Electric Railway line, a private local railroad that has an over 90-year history.

ここで90年以上の歴史があるローカル私鉄、銚子電気鉄道に乗り換える。

The EMU waiting at the platform was the 2000 series. This is a second second-hand set of cars which was used first by Keio Railway then by Iyo Railway in Shikoku Island. The cars have been running for more than half a century but it seems no need to retire soon.

ホームで待っていたのは2000形。元々京王電鉄で使われていた車両が四国の伊予鉄道に渡り、さらに銚子にやってきたツーオーナーの中古車。半世紀以上走り続けてきた電車だが、まだ引退する必要はない感じ。
