SANSOU TAKEFUE: THE VILLA

This inn has eleven villas, each with its own distinct character and hot spring setting. I chose the one with a king bed and a combination of an outdoor bathtub and an indoor cypress bathtub. Its spacious open-air bath, surrounded by bamboo trees and sun-dappled light filtering through them, is the perfect place to unwind after travelling more than 34,000 miles over the past four months.

この宿にはそれぞれ違った個性を持つ11のヴィラがあり、風呂のしつらえもそれぞれ異なっている。今回はキングベッドがあり、露天風呂と檜の屋内風呂の両方を持つ棟を選んだ。竹とその間から漏れる光を楽しめる広々とした露天の温泉は、4か月で3万4千マイル以上飛んだ後に一息つく場所として最高。
