ON A SNOWY EVENING

My second trip to Ishinomaki this year. This evening, Tohoku Shinkansen trains departing from Tokyo Station were delayed by more than 10 minutes due to snow. However, the Yamabiko service I took made up for the lost time along the way and arrived in Sendai only a few minutes behind schedule. Kudos to Japan’s railway operation.

石巻へ今年2度目の旅。今夜の東北新幹線は、雪のせいで東京駅を10分以上遅れて出発している。しかし僕が乗ったやまびこは走っている間に巻き返し、仙台に着いた時の遅れはわずか数分だった。さすが、日本の鉄道のオペレーション。
