ISHINOMAKI SCHOOL

Ishinomaki School is a new program launched by Ishinomaki 2.0 for the next generation in Ishinomaki. In this series of workshops held at IRORI Ishinomaki, local high school students work on real-life projects to tackle challenges within their community. The workshops are designed to give participants hands-on experience in research, brainstorming, discussion, presentation, and execution—simulating the same creative process that marketing professionals use in the field. As one of the organizers, I gave a keynote presentation to kick off the program and will continue to support it. The discussions quickly became vibrant, and I was deeply moved by the potential these young Ishinomakians hold. I’m confident that this city will soon become the birthplace of many game changers, innovators, and rebels who will create positive change — in their community, in Japan, and beyond.

いしのまき学校は、石巻の次の世代のために石巻2.0が始めた新しいプログラム。IRORI石巻で開かれるこの連続ワークショップでは、コミュニティが持つ課題に取り組むため、高校生が自分たちでリアルなプロジェクトを進めて行く。ワークショップはマーケティングのプロが実際に使っている手法をモデルにしながら、参加者が実践的なリサーチ、ブレインストーミング、ディスカッション、プレゼンテーション、エグゼキューションを体験できるように組み立てられた。僕は主催者側の一人として、プロジェクトを開始させるためのキーノートプレゼンテーションを担当。今後もプログラムへのサポートを続けさせてもらう。ワークショップでの議論はとても活発で、石巻の若い世代が持つ潜在能力にはただただ圧倒された。この街からはやがて、コミュニティや、日本や、世界にポジティブな変化をもたらす、数多くのゲームチェンジャー、変革者、反逆者たちが現れてくるだろう。
