PROS AND CONS

This is my first time experiencing ANA’s second-generation domestic Premium Class seat on the 777. Counting from the seat used for “Super Seat Premium,” the former name for ANA’s domestic upper-class service, this makes it the third generation. It’s a solid upgrade overall, though I found the new seat design has both pros and cons.

羽田に戻るANAの777-200で、777用の第2世代国内線プレミアムクラスシートを初体験。ANAの国内線アッパークラスの以前のブランド「スーパーシートプレミアム」で使われていたシートから数えると3世代目。なかなかのアップグレードだが、良い面と良くない面の両方がある。

Pros: a bit more privacy with a new partition.

良い面：少しだけプライバシーを保てる、新しいパーティション。

An extremely big blue table. This is great.

大き過ぎるほど大きな、青いテーブル。これは素晴らしい。

And the screen got larger.

スクリーンのサイズもアップ。

Cons: the under-seat luggage storage was gone. So you have to unfasten a seat belt and stand up whenever you need your carry-on bag. I think this is a very bad idea for the ANA's domestic network, which has a lot of short commuter routes with 1-1.5h flight time. Maybe their "Inspiration of Japan" couldn't work at the foot. ANA B777-200 KMQ-HND. The 575th flight in my lifetime.

良くない面：シートの下の荷物スペースがなくなった。これからは機内に持ち込んだバッグが必要になったら、その都度シートベルトを外して立ち上がらなければならない。フライトタイムが1時間から1時間半の短距離ビジネス路線を多く持つ国内線用なのに、何とも悪い判断をしたものだと思う。ANAの「日本のインスピレーション」は足元では働かなかったのかも。ANA B777-200 KMQ-HND。生涯575フライト目。
