BANYAN TREE CLUB & SPA SEOUL

The tower of this hotel was remodeled from the former Tower Hotel, a 1960s building designed by Korea’s modern architectural giant Kim Swoo-geun. I stayed at the Tower Hotel back in 1991, during my second trip to Korea.

このホテルのタワー棟は、韓国の近代建築の巨匠、キム・スグン氏による60年代の建築であるタワーホテルを改築したもの。1991年、僕が2度目に韓国へ来た時に宿泊したのがタワーホテルだった。

The hotel is surrounded by the nature of Namsan Park and has only 34 rooms—a serene, laid-back retreat in the very heart of the city.

街の中心にあるのだが、南山公園の自然に囲まれていて、そのうえ34部屋しかない。だからとても落ち着いている。

I’ve stayed in a hotel with a bathtub in the middle of the bedroom before, but this is my first time staying in one with a heated relaxation pool at its center.

ベッドルームの真ん中にバスタブがあるホテルには泊まったことがあるが、ベッドルームに温水のリラクゼーションプールがついているホテルは初めて。
