Novelist Ms. Maha Harada gave me a 2013 calendar with postcards and envelopes from Turkish Airlines. Is Turkish still doing their famous “on-tarmac, last-minute, pre-boarding self-visual confirmation of checked luggage by passengers” at airports in Turkey? Are they still hanging the eye-ball-like Turkish amulet in the cabin?
